Men...
a discussion list for men who want to
leave their pornography addictions behind them.
Changing
Men is a Fires of Darkness feature for men who earnestly desire to leave
their pornography addictions in the past. The discussion list is a place where
you can discuss your thoughts about accountability and other issues with other
men who are in the same situation. To join the list, please closely follow the
instructions on the right side of this page.
What it
is...
- The list is for men who
are addicted to pornography or its offspring, deviant behavior.
- The Changing
Men
list is a
moderated e-mail based discussion group whereby men can ask questions of
each other, request prayer, or offer support to each other.
What it
is not...
- The discussion list is
not a forum for one person to bash or verbally abuse another.
- It is not a place where
sexually deviant people will be allowed to harass men who are desperately
seeking advice or a change in their lives.
The
rules...
- Although discussions of
pornography addiction are by nature not discussions for the prudish, vulgar
language is not necessary and absolutely will not be allowed. Graphic
descriptions of specific sex acts are not necessary for the purpose of this
list. Messages which include such descriptive language will be edited, at
best, or refused.
- Hurting people often
wonder where God was when their families fell apart, and as a result, may
wonder at times whether He even exists. Those are legitimate concerns that
should be addressed. However, no blatantly or intentionally blasphemous
posts will be allowed.
- Do not send file
attachments with your message posts. They will be stripped from the message
and will not be posted to the group. Such attachments eat up band width and
in some cases can subject everyone involved to the annoyance of computer
viruses.
- Digests will not be sent
out on Sundays. Messages may be posted on any day, but any posts sent after
the Saturday digest will not be sent out until Monday.
